January - February 2004

Younger hair styleAnother new beginning. Learning to treat each day as it comes and building my own confidence as a person continues to give me comfort. I continue to share my talents with the disabled ski program my wife and I teach in as well as sharing my TG conviction with others in an attempt to reach out to mainstream society and show that we are all valuable members of this diverse culture.

I presented a workshop on Navigating the Transgender Spectrum to Gold Rush this year and was even blessed with being able to meet Dr. Lynn Conway -- one of the pioneers of computing and of open and affirming transsexualism.

March 2004

Denver Community TelevisionSo early in the year and I've already presented four workshops on transgenderism. This is becoming a true passion as I endeavor to understand what I am and help others come to terms with their own transgenderism. I was invited to be a guest on a local community television talk show -- maybe Oprah is next :-)

April 2004

Lot's of activity in April. Not only was it Tax Month, but Jennie and I received Lifetime Passes to Winter Park for our 15 years of service. The National Disabled Veterans' Winter Sports Clinic was also held and I volunteered one week helping where I could...and getting down with a new western outfit!

May 2004 - Sep 2005

Many things changed for me during this period. I've been fairly busy and my own self-identity has been going through some evolution. I'm finding it more "difficult" to pass as male...most people "mistake" me for a female no matter what I am wearing and irrespective of the amount of make-up I wear. Not that I am complaining :-)

Here are a couple of pictures as I am evolving...a little help from photoshop, but .... oh well...a girl's gotta go with what helps. The grainy look helps cover my age lines...since I just had a birthday.
