It's
becoming much more comfortable to me to go out and be the person I am
inside. My wife is so accepting it's unbelievable. This month we attended
Tri-Ess's Holiday en Femme 2002 in New York. Well, actually it was in
New Jersey, but that seems to mush together over there :-)
There
was a wonderful old train station in the middle of town that just called
to all of us to wander the tracks!
Another
sobering experience was visiting Ground Zero. Just being there brought
tears to my eyes.

Gold
Rush in Denver hosted by the Gender Identity Center is beginning to be
a regular occurance for me. One evening was a karaoke night...so I jumped
in with my friend Anita Cocktail! This was a super event with guest speaker
Jamison Green -- an FTM TS who's story is nothing short of incredible
and inspiring.

I'm
starting to use my photo pages as my journal entries. No doubt these pages
will end up being obsolete...though I do tend to wander in my thoughts
here. The Summer 2003 pages really show what
I'd been doing ... with my own thoughts and feelings becoming even more
consistent and whole. Not so much a more feminine persona as much as a
broader person.

This
summer is really getting warmer. My local Tri-Ess chapter decided to try
a motorcycle rally up to the mountains in search of an A&W Rootbeer
Float. I dusted off my Honda Gold Wing and joined the hunt!
The
A&W stand in Idaho Springs (Colorado) was closed so we ended up going
to Tommyknockers (local brewery) for some ice-cold rootbeer.
We
got back to Denver just before the rain hit and decided to change, get
a car, and head out to a BBQ ribs dinner. Yummy! Here I am with a friend
of mine, Laura, from Wyoming sharing a dessert.
August
- September 2003
The
rest of the summer was pretty much the same...lots of girl time and lots
of fun. The Denver Tri-Ess chapter was busy making plans for Holiday en
Femme 2003 to be hosted in the Mile High City -- the Queen City of the
Plains. In fact, we had quite a few activities supporting advertising
and fund raising...including golf!
September - December 2003
This
time period really had us focused on HEF 2003. Final plans coupled with
local chapter elections made for a hectic time. Just for information,
I was elected First Lady of our Chapter for 2004! For HEF, I had a Victorian
gown made by a friend of mine. She did a wonderful job and I was the envy
of the party! Here it is in all its splendor! Sitting at the head table
with Virgina Prince was also a great honor. In the short time we knew
each other, we became close friends.
